Things I build in the open.
Software I wanted at home and could not find. Most of it lives in the allhappy-labs organisation on GitHub. All side projects; my day job is at Squirro.

A native iPhone app for logging a newborn's day one-handed and half asleep: feeds, sleep and diapers in a couple of taps, plain-language answers about the log from Apple's on-device model, and a sync server the family hosts itself.

A local-first mail app for macOS and iOS: IMAP and the big providers, local full-text search, rules and a Smart Inbox, with mail and credentials kept on your devices and AI help only if you switch it on.

A local-first video editor for macOS and Linux: cut and caption from the transcript, with an agent whose edits you can inspect and undo. Early preview.

Local-first flashcards for web and mobile: spaced-repetition study, plus browse, match, write and test modes, and an adaptive learn mode.

An iPhone app that sends the Apple Health data you choose to your own Home Assistant, full history included. No account in between.

A browser extension that saves the article you are reading as clean Markdown, media included, into an Obsidian-style folder.
The Home Assistant side of Vital Relay: a fork of Health Bridge that keeps every original Apple Health sample in a durable archive, apart from Home Assistant's own history.
